Dental Implant Placement

After a tooth is removed, a dental implant can replace it from the root up. A small titanium post is placed in the jawbone, where it bonds with the bone over a few months to support a crown, bridge, or implant-supported denture.

Bone Grafting

What to Expect After Your Procedure

Most people feel back to normal within a few days after an extraction, while implants take a few months to bond with the bone fully. To help you heal smoothly:

• Keep gentle pressure on the gauze for the first hour to control bleeding
  

• Use a cold compress on your cheek in short intervals to reduce swelling
  

• Eat soft, cool foods for the first few days
  

• Skip straws, smoking, and forceful spitting so the healing clot stays in place
  

• Rinse gently with warm salt water after the first day
  

• Take any medications exactly as directed

Yes. We remove wisdom teeth here, usually without a referral. Very complex cases may be referred to an oral surgeon.

Are your dentists oral surgeons?

No. Our dentists are general dentists who perform extractions, wisdom teeth removal, and implant placement. For jaw surgery or highly complex cases, we refer to an oral and maxillofacial surgeon.

Will I be awake during my procedure?

With nitrous oxide and oral sedation, you stay conscious but relaxed. IV sedation provides deeper relaxation, and many patients remember little of the procedure. Your mouth is always numbed with local anesthesia.
